Visiting & Service Times

Everything you need to know before your first Sunday with us.

What time are your Sunday services?

Sunday morning worship begins at 11:00 a.m. Adult Bible study meets at 10:00 a.m. before worship. Most Sundays we also gather for an evening Bible study at 5:00 p.m. and a lay leader led worship service at 6:00 p.m. Youth service meets Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. The full schedule is on our calendar page.

Where is the church located?

We are located at 513 Saint Clair St SW, Hartselle, AL 35670. Parking is available on-site, and the entrance is clearly visible from the street. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 848, Hartselle, AL 35640.

Driving directions are linked from the Plan a Visit section on the home page.

What should I expect on my first visit?

A warm welcome, Christ-centered worship rooted in Scripture and prayer, and a friendly, family-oriented community where people of all ages worship together. On the third Sunday of each month we share a church-wide meal as a time of fellowship, and guests are always invited.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. Some members dress casually, others more formally — both are welcome. The focus is on worship, not what's worn.

Is the building accessible?

Yes. Our facilities are accessible, and we use assistive technology to support those who are hearing impaired so everyone can participate fully in worship and church life.

Are services live-streamed or recorded?

Sermons are posted on YouTube and are often live-streamed. The most recent sermon is linked from the home page.

Beliefs & Affiliation

What we believe and how we are connected to the broader Methodist family.

What is the Global Methodist Church?

The Global Methodist Church is a worldwide denomination in the Wesleyan tradition, committed to historic Christian doctrine, the authority of Scripture, and the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ. West End is an affiliated congregation.

What do you believe?

We confess one God in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died and rose for our salvation, and that salvation is offered freely by grace and received through faith.

In the Wesleyan tradition, we affirm that God's grace not only forgives but transforms — calling believers to grow in holiness of heart and life through the work of the Holy Spirit. You can read more in the About section.

Is West End the same as the United Methodist Church?

No. West End is part of the Global Methodist Church, a separate denomination that continues in the historic Wesleyan and biblical tradition. Our history page shares more about the journey of our congregation.

Children, Youth & Family

A safe, engaging place for the next generation to grow in faith.

Do you have programs for children and youth?

Yes. Sunday children's and youth groups meet at 11:00 a.m. alongside worship, and our midweek Children's and Youth Bible Study meets Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. The focus is on learning Scripture, prayer, and living out faith together.

Are children welcome in the worship service?

Always. Children of every age are welcome in the sanctuary. During the 11:00 a.m. service, age-appropriate children's and youth groups also meet for families who prefer that option.

Getting Involved

Ways to grow in faith and connect with the church family.

Do you offer Bible studies or small groups?

Yes. We have an adult Bible study Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m., an adult evening Bible study on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 5:00 p.m., and a midweek youth Bible study Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. New groups form as needs arise — check the calendar or contact the church for current details.
